American classical education is grounded in human nature, rich in content, concerned with moral formation, and thoughtfully patriotic. Libertas will offer a tuition-free public education in the liberal arts and sciences, anticipated to open in Fall 2029 with grades K–7 and to add one grade each year until K–12.

A Legacy of Deep Literacy
Libertas’s proposed curriculum is vertically aligned so knowledge and skills build in an orderly sequence, and horizontally aligned so literature, history, art, music, science, and other subjects illuminate one another. Students will return to important ideas over time, deepening understanding from the grammar years through graduation.

LOGIC
Careful reasoning, Socratic discussion, and understanding relationships among ideas.
GRAMMAR
Foundational knowledge and the mechanics of language through phonics, spelling, vocabulary, English grammar, memory, recitation, literature, history, mathematics, and science.
RHETORIC
Composition, public speaking, and communicating with clarity and grace.

A Knowledge-Rich Course of Study
The proposed sequence integrates the liberal arts and sciences so students build durable knowledge, intellectual habits, moral character, and civic understanding.
Language & Literature
Explicit phonics, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, composition, memory, and recitation build fluent readers and clear writers who encounter classic children’s literature and poetry.
History & Civics
American and world history, geography, biography, timelines, and primary sources help students understand the triumphs and failures of the past and the principles of the American founding.
Mathematics & Science
The proposed sequence uses Singapore Math Dimensions and progresses from concrete to pictorial to abstract understanding, alongside coherent study of life, physical, earth, and chemical sciences.
Fine Arts & Physical Education
Art, music, and physical education develop the whole person through the history, theory, practice, beauty, discipline, and skill found in each field.
Partnering with Treasure Valley Families
We welcome families from Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, Boise, and across the Treasure Valley. Parents are their children's primary educators, and Nampa residency is not required to submit an Intent to Enroll.
Libertas is a proposed tuition-free, nonsectarian public charter school currently in development. We focus on a traditional education for a free person, unrelated to any political or religious party.
